If you were a He-Man fan back in your time, you’ll love watching this show with your kids. It has been presented in a more child-friendly manner and is based around Prince Adam’s long-lost sister, Princess Adora. She transforms into She-Ra, and fights the Evil Horde. However, her best friend stays with the Horde, leading to complex encounters.
In addition, this series is a great example of diversity and also has different kinds of romantic relationships, instead of just heteronormative ones. It is perfect if you have daughters, as it promotes female empowerment and agency in an excellent manner.
6. Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts
Kipo is based in a world where humanity lives under the surface of the ground for their survival and safety. However, a mutant attack sends her to the surface, which is now a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by mutants.
She discovers her resilience and inner powers once she’s thrusted into these difficulties, and quickly moves on from her sheltered lifestyle. This is a pretty good show in itself, but it also teaches children to be resilient and strong when facing difficulties.
7. Gravity Falls
This is one of the best animated shows for you and your family. It is centered around Mabel and Dipper, a pair of twins who are sent to spend their summer holidays with their great uncle Stan. Of course, supernatural chaos ensues, and the twins deal with numerous mysteries and many fantastic creatures.
This show explores sibling relationships, bullying, and growing up in a beautiful manner. In addition, its characters are quite relatable, and you’ll find yourself rooting for them. It even has a wonderfully cryptic and sassy big bad, who brings some real edge to the show.
